Eker Olive: Investing in a Sustainable Future and Social Value

At Eker Olive, we are committed to building a sustainable future through our environmentally conscious and socially driven initiatives. From energy investments to educational programs, we strive to create value for nature, people, and society.

Investments in Renewable Energy

Our mission to preserve natural resources drives our increased use of renewable energy in production processes. Currently, our facilities generate 700 kW of energy from solar panels. Our goal is to expand this capacity to 1500 kW, significantly reducing our carbon footprint.

Transition to Electric Vehicles

Aligned with our environmental sustainability goals, we are transitioning to electric vehicles for transportation. Our fleet already includes more than 10 electric vehicles, and we plan to fully transition to an all-electric fleet by 2030, showcasing our commitment to eco-friendly mobility.

Ending Coal Usage

We are steadfast in our efforts to eliminate coal usage in our production lines. By 2030, we aim to meet all our energy needs solely through electricity, ensuring cleaner and more sustainable production processes.

Recycling and Resource Management

As part of our environmental responsibilities, we are constantly exploring recyclable packaging technologies. Additionally, we are investing in technologies to reduce water usage, reflecting our sensitivity to environmental conservation. We aim to make our factory production waste as recyclable as possible, minimizing our environmental impact.

Olive Plantation Expansion

We have planted olive trees on a 50,000 m² plot of land as part of our efforts to support sustainable agriculture and increase production. Our long-term goal is to expand this area to 1,000,000 m² by 2040, further contributing to environmental preservation and agricultural growth.

Educational Programs for Employees

As part of our social responsibility, we provide our employees with training on social awareness and respect for the environment. These programs contribute to the personal development of our team members and foster the growth of more conscious and qualified individuals.

Support and Collaboration with Farmers

We continuously support local farmers to strengthen our relationships and mutual growth. By offering training to improve the quality of olive production and reduce the use of pesticides, we aim to increase farmers’ profits while fostering a closer bond with them.
